Assumptions About Reality

 1.     Holistic

     All parts need to be understood as partial.  They are interrelated and form a whole.

 2.     Relational

     Relationships are the key to understanding the whole.   One physicist stated that relationships are all there is to reality.

 3.     Participative

     The division between objective and subjective is misleading since all observation is participative.  It is influenced by the position and experience of the observer and becomes part of the observation.

 4.     Dynamic

     The structures are constantly changing in relationship to the parts.    They form a constantly flowing stream that changes as it encounters a differing environment.

 5.     Informational

     The basis of our interactions is the information we receive and provide.    The information we receive and comprehend is always partial, reflective of our own experience.
